How to effectively utilize chrome rods in daily production?
1. During normal use, chrome rod bear alternating loads, and the device reciprocates and rubs against their surfaces. Therefore, high hardness and wear resistance are required in this area.
2. The product structure is relatively simple, but the length-to-diameter ratio is large, classifying it as a slender shaft component with poor rigidity. To ensure machining accuracy, roughing and finishing should be performed separately, and a follower rest should be used for both roughing and finishing to reduce workpiece deformation during machining. A center rest should be used when machining the threads at both ends.
3. When selecting positioning datums, to ensure the coaxiality tolerance of components and the relative positional accuracy of each part, all machining processes use two center holes for positioning, conforming to the principle of unified datum.
